Custom Isolation Door

Our proprietary isolation doors are fully sound tested by the nation’s most accurate acoustics lab, both as single and communicating door assemblies. Each door comes pre-hung in a jamb built to your wall specifications and includes full perimeter seals. We can manufacture doors up to 48" wide and 96" tall.

Seal the Door Slab

Every door needs an automatic door bottom or threshold to seal the lower gap. While large adjustable stops are often used on the sides and top, we’ve found lightweight seals perform just as well or better. We recommend using the soundproof door bottoms listed below for effective door soundproofing.

Seal the Door Frame

To maintain a high STC rating, the gap between the door jamb and frame must be sealed. Instead of using a lightweight gasket, apply flexible mass for better soundproofing. A standard door typically requires about five putty pads and one tube of acoustical sealant.
