RSIC-1

The RSIC-1 Sound Isolation Clip is designed for wood stud, steel stud, CMU, and concrete wall or ceiling assemblies where improved sound isolation is needed. The clip decouples drywall or plywood from the structure to help reduce airborne noise and vibration transfer while improving overall acoustic performance. Each clip features a 36 lb acoustical design load rating and can support up to two layers of 5/8" drywall at 24" x 48" spacing. The RSIC-1 mounts directly to framing or structural surfaces and creates an approximate 1-5/8" cavity between the framing and drywall for enhanced sound control. The system is compatible with multiple UL fire-rated assemblies from 1-hour to 4-hour designs and can also be used in select shear wall applications to improve acoustic performance.

RSIC-1 Low Profile Image

RSIC-1 Low Profile

The RSIC-1 Low Profile is designed for wood and steel framed ceiling systems where sound isolation is needed while preserving maximum ceiling height. The clip decouples drywall or plywood from the structure to help reduce noise and vibration transfer. With a 36 lb acoustical design load rating per clip, the RSIC-1 Low Profile can support up to two layers of 5/8" drywall at 24" x 48" spacing. Additional clips may be required for heavier ceiling assemblies. The low-profile design mounts directly to the side of the framing and creates a cavity as small as 1/2", making it ideal for applications with limited ceiling space.

RSIC-1.5 CRC

The RSIC-1.5CRC is designed for joist and concrete ceiling applications where a dropped drywall ceiling and additional chase space are required for ducting, plumbing, or electrical systems. The clip snaps onto cold rolled channel to decouple the drywall ceiling from the structure above, helping improve acoustic performance and reduce sound and vibration transfer. Its design allows support wires and vertical strut connections to remain hard-mounted to the structure while maintaining isolation of the gypsum board below for enhanced noise control.

RSIC-1 EXT04 Image

RSIC-EXT04

The RSIC-1 EXT04 is designed for ceiling applications where additional drop space is needed for HVAC, plumbing, electrical chases, or leveling uneven floor joists. The clip allows ceilings to be lowered up to 4" while maintaining the sound isolation performance of standard RSIC systems. Popular in home theater and studio construction, the RSIC-1 EXT04 creates space for wiring and utilities while helping reduce noise and vibration transfer through the structure.

RSIC-1 TTC

The RSIC-1 TTC is designed for use with steel web joist and truss ceiling systems where improved sound isolation is required. The clip bolts directly to the bottom chord of the truss to decouple drywall from the floor structure above, helping reduce sound and vibration transfer. With a 36 lb acoustical design load rating per isolator, the RSIC-1 TTC can support up to two layers of 5/8" drywall when installed at spacing up to 24" x 48" on center. The system is also compatible with multiple UL fire-rated assemblies ranging from 1-hour to 4-hour designs, making it suitable for commercial, residential, and multi-family acoustic ceiling applications.

RSIC-1 ADM Multi Clip Image

RSIC-1 ADM Multi Clip

The RSIC-1-ADM Multi Clip is designed for concrete, steel, and wood framed ceiling systems where sound isolation and ceiling leveling are required. Its adjustable design allows installers to fine-tune ceiling height for faster, more accurate leveling during installation. The clip decouples drywall from the structure to help reduce airborne noise and impact vibration transfer, improving both STC and IIC performance in ceiling assemblies. With a 36 lb acoustical design load rating per isolator, the RSIC-1-ADM Multi Clip can support up to two layers of 5/8" drywall at 24" x 48" spacing, or up to three layers at 16" x 48" spacing. The clip mounts directly to framing or concrete surfaces and can be installed on the bottom or side of wood and steel joists.

RSIC-1 Backer

The RSIC-1 Backer Series is a heavy-duty mounting solution designed for use with RSIC-1 Sound Isolation Clip systems to support heavier wall-mounted items while maintaining acoustic isolation performance. Suitable for both new construction and retrofit applications, the RSIC-1 Backer helps reduce sound and vibration transfer when mounting cabinets, shelving, displays, and other heavy components to isolated wall assemblies.

RSIC-1 CWB Image

RSIC-1 CWB

The RSIC-CWB is designed for wood and steel framed applications where a dropped ceiling or secondary isolated structure, such as a chase wall system, is required. The RSIC-CWB installs to the side of wall or ceiling framing members to help reduce sound and vibration transfer while supporting isolated framing assemblies. The standard RSIC-CWB isolator features a 36 lb acoustical design load rating per isolator.

RSIC-U

The RSIC-U is designed to decouple wall framing from floor and ceiling structures to help reduce flanking noise paths in high-performance wall assemblies. By isolating the wall from the surrounding structure, the RSIC-U helps limit sound transfer through framing connections and improves overall acoustic performance. When used together with the RSIC-1 Sound Isolation Clip system, the RSIC-U helps create a fully decoupled wall assembly for enhanced sound control in residential, commercial, theater, and studio applications.

RSIC-V Image

RSIC-V

The RSIC-V is designed for wood, steel, and concrete wall systems where improved sound isolation is needed. Ideal for wall applications, the RSIC-V decouples drywall from the structure to help reduce noise and vibration transfer while improving overall acoustic performance. Each clip features a 36 lb acoustical design load rating and can support up to two layers of 5/8" drywall when installed at spacing up to 24" x 48" on center. For heavier wall-mounted items such as cabinets, the optional RSIC-V backer can be added for additional support. The RSIC-V mounts directly to wood framing, light gauge steel, heavy gauge steel, and concrete structures for versatile installation across a wide range of applications.

RSIC-1 Boost

The RC-1 Boost is designed for wood and steel framed wall and ceiling assemblies where improved sound control is needed. The clip decouples standard RC-1 resilient channel from the framing to enhance acoustic performance and reduce sound and vibration transfer. With an acoustical design load rating of 18 lbs per isolator, the RC-1 Boost can support up to two layers of 5/8" drywall when installed at spacing up to 16" x 24" on center, depending on the UL assembly requirements. The clip wraps around standard RC channel and mounts directly to the framing using the included PAC International RC-1 Boost screw, helping improve both STC and IIC performance in wall and ceiling systems.
